- I totally agree. They could _EASILY_ take their IRIX version of
- Lightwave and port it to FreeBSD/Linux and immediately make tons of
- people happy. I run FreeBSD 24hrs a day, except when I want to run my
- animation program. This would keep me from having to reboot and cut off
- my internet connection while I work. What a joy that would be.
-
- I could understand the stress if there were no unix version already, but
- seeing that they've already ported to IRIX, it should be a fairly easy
- port to either FreeBSD or Linux (I don't care which, I'd run whichever
- one Lightwave supported, although FreeBSD seems a bit more stable to me.)
-
- Stuart? Allen? Any comments from you guys? How hard would this be? I
- am sure you would make a _LOT_ of people happy. I know this won't make
- 4.0, but how about the next version?
